Hi,
The subject says everything, how can i delete the shortcuts from the launch pad, without deleting the app?
Hi, nice forum here. I'm setting up FFP with my regular local FF profile, referencing this info:
"Just copy the contents of that folder (except the cache directories) to the FirefoxPortable\Data\profile directory."
https://portableapps.com/support/firefox_portable#local_profile
Would someone help a newb out, I'm looking at my local FF profile, what are the "cache directories" I am supposed to omit when transferring this profile to FF Portable?
The only thing that says cache in my profile is "extensions.cache". Is that the directory?
As anyone here for a while has noticed, we get a lot of repeat questions for some apps that can't be made portable on the terms this website operates. Many new people just find a Requests forum and don't check to see if the request has been made (and what the answer was). I propose a link in the Forum description to a page with the status of past app requests. The link could be as simple as "Check here for previous requests status FIRST." The list itself could be just a simple alphabetical list of previous requests with a brief description of the status, like:
ABC, see Beta Forum
You can find Opera Usb here OperaUsb
The reason why it is a good program is because there are a lot of things u can use, such as speed dial where you can put custom sites to be loaded up for faster use, up to 9 sites.
U can set the page to reload at a custom time, i have mine 4 every 1 in it reloads.(only 4 this page so i know when someone posts something)
Hope u find it usefull
Hi,
I bought a U3 USB pen, after a while I discovered PortableApps.com
I removed the U3 launch pad and installed PortableApps
Just a question: how to costumize the folder links in che Menu? By default there are Documents, Music, Video, ecc... I want to remove them and put my own.
Thanks!

To make it look more professional, and for me just more normal as I'm not a big fan of screennames/usernames/weird e-mails, etc, we're asking if you mind us using your real name.
This applies to anyone who is contributing to the site in some public way, mainly developers, translators, etc. If you don't mind us using your real name for pages on this site, please let us know, and also post your real name. Even if you haven't released any apps, or done any translations, etc yet, let us know for future reference.
THIS UPDATE IS OUTDATED. THE CURRENT ONE IS HERE:

Welcome all to another PortableApps.com Update. It's late in the week again (sorry about that), so it's a mix of summary and what's coming. And I ran out of punch and pie. But there's a drinking fountain in the back somewhere. And a guy with a water gun filled with seltzer for some reason. Anyway, here we go...
Updating Current Portable Apps (Re-Completed)
I think probably more than anything else in the PAF spec version numbers need to be clarified. Many of the Development Tests being posted have it wrong (or are being labeled as such by others), and even in some releases it is unclear whether they all follow the same logic. I'm going to attempt to list them all and relate them as I understand them, and list questions I have and hopefully we can get things nailed down by someone more in the know and have a clear reference to go by. Throughout this post I use GIMP Portable 2.4.4 Revision 2 as the example.
We're in need of a volunteer to help track development test releases on a daily basis. Basically, you'll be responsible for monitoring the beta forum and then updating the Development Test page within the development section to ensure all listed apps are up to date. The ideal candidate has:
I figured that, for those who do not feel like manually disabling thumbnail caching on every computer they use, this, if set to autorun, might be of assistance.
