I have been successfully using portable apps on a removable sata drive.

However, I tried to migrate to a lexar 133x class 10 sdhc card. It was unusable.

I am curious if others have been successful using PA on an SD card and what their success has been.

I called lexar and they did state it should not be a problem but cautioned that excessive writes would significantly shorten the life of the card.

Somebody really, really hates PortableApps.com and has used Trend Micro against this site. Trying to access it from work prompts, not the usual work firewall (e.g. if I were to try to access, say, xbox.com), but one from Trend Micro.

I would like a copy of the last utorrent portable v1 which is v1.8.5. I downloaded the PA installer from the PA sourceforge archive but the problem is that the installer needs to download from the utorrent server but it downloads v2 instead. Does anybody have an installed portable version of v1.8.5 that they can zip up and put online please ?

Is anyone aware of an app that acts like a bridge for a standard 32bit install? I want to install several high-end graphics suites to flash drive for portability.

What am I missing here? I would like to send a PM or email to another member of the forum in answer to a question he posted, but would like to give him a personal and private answer (solution) to his question.

Does this forum not support PMs or emails to other members.

If so, then what is the work around to accomplish this?

I think it would be neat if the portable apps dock had the option for a alternate dock feature similar to the rocket dock dock, except customizable for the portable apps installed on your drive, and with all the features of the current dock.

Can you writeup a status update when you get a chance??

BTW will there be a way to buy a bulk lot of PA.c drives??

Hi there. Am looking for a drive protector for my USB drives.
I enjoyed Launchpad from U3, which is no longer available even for newer Sandisk drives. When you inserted it, it prompted you for a password. I have tried SecureAccess. Too difficult to set up and in my opinion, it's cumbersome to work with a vault, etc.
Is there anything similar to LaunchPad from U3 available in a generic form for ANY thumb drive? Would love to hear your suggestions. Thanks.
