Is this not where malware can hide?
Can we have a further option in right-click whereby it shows the file location of the portable application please?
Thank you
In 1992 the best PIM ever came out called EccoPro it lived and was developed until 1997 when Netmanage aquired it, released an update and then dropped it. It has all a PIM should have - it is a powerful outliner too. It is free to download if you google it. There is an installer for W7 and Vista
I installed it to my own W7 pc jumpdrive. As I need to use it on my "protected" work laptop I plugged the drive in and ran the exe file. It kept looking for about 4 dll's and I copied them across to the Ecco program folder one at a time until it worked - Everything works on it - good deal.
Now that Microsoft has bought Skype, does that mean soon it will no longer be able to be made portable legally?
That's what comes up everytime i try to install Google Chrome Portable, EVERYTIME!
Is there anyway to fix this? I think its because its a different installer than Firefox portable, is there anyway of making the chrome portable, so you download the full thing? instead of just downloading the installer?
I was wondering that it would be a bandwidth saver if we could check for updates both remotely and locally:
I have some colleagues in the company I work for, and we all use and enjoy having such nice and handy portable apps.
If there are new packages, they would be downloaded to a local repository first, then updated to the flash drive. Latter, other guys would have most of the updated packages already available locally.
Thanks for all that good stuff.

USB Drive Speed Tester
I searched for something to test my USB Drives and found the following article:

I am using CrystalDiskMark3 and I love it. (available for Win7 64bit and Portable!)
http://crystalmark.info/download/index-e.html#CrystalDiskMark
It is specifically for drives to test read/write speeds.
Simple and easy to use. It allows me to copy the results to notepad.
It will run a test file size of 50MB to 4GB form 1 to 5 times for average speed.
So every time I plug my iPod on the computer it automatically backs the iPod, it also gives you the choice to cancel it. Do you guys think it will work on the platform?
