This is my first time posting, and I want to say Thanks! to everyone who put so much work into such a great program.

Microsoft is gearing up to launch ARM laptops with Windows which will run existing non-ARM apps using Windows on Windows on ARM. This will support 32-bit x86 apps only. x64 apps will not be supported. Microsoft has said that they will likely support 64-bit standard apps at some point in the future but, according to all the reporting so far, this will be a very big engineering effort to get done since Windows on Windows has always been 32-bit-only and even if it is updated to support 64-bit, it will encounter a performance hit that 32-bit apps won't.

Is there a page when I can download an old version of a portable software?

Hi, I down loaded a number of apps and installed them onto a usb memory stick.

I then went to a clean machine and inserted the usb stick and started the interface.

I was substantially surprised when I saw the hard drive light up.

I tried several apps and then did a search by date on the clean machine.

There are files scatted all over the clean machines hard disk - mostly through the windows directory.

I write this as I was under the impression that the portable apps would write by default to the drive that they were installed on.

Hello everyone! The problem is: PortableApps platform and soft for it are installed but after the installation not started. What to do?

Installing/using Portableapps menu on my pc I have the following issue:

- at some moment, maybe after going to 'options', my desktop icons disappear
- some kind of unwanted (more or less blank) window appear

Could it be an incompatibility with Stardock Fences that I am using ?

Hey gang. I'm considering implementing a new feature into the app launchers and wanted to get feedback and suggestions. The idea is to let the individual app launchers be able to check for updates of their apps independently of the PortableApps.com Platform. This would be designed for folks that use the apps outside the platform and would automatically be disabled when the launcher is used in conjunction with the platform.

i have to day upgraded my portable app menu from 1.6 to 14.4.3 (ya, i know)
but now i notice i cant scroll anymore in the aps, i have 30+ apps installed but only the 1st 19 are shown.
any sugestion ?

What is the MINIMUM storage capacity to install Portable Apps on a USB Flash drive?
