As has been mentioned in our chat room and in a couple threads in the forums, our current hotkey for showing and hiding the PortableApps.com Menu when it is running, WIN+P, is already registered in Windows 7, so it can't be used. So, we should need to select a new default hotkey.

I think it would be cool if there was an option to subscribe to forum posts, I know there are drupal modules out there which allow this, what does everyone think?

Well anyways. Today is April 7th and i'd thought i might tell you all it's my birthday.
I'm going to get my present in 3 days. Hopefully it's an iPod Touch (i hope it is cause my mom holds back gifts due to money... O.o)

After not using my USB thumb in so long I wiped it clean and am installing a new Suite. Do I still have to come here to update Firefox and avoid a "dirty bomb" or can I let Mozilla do it again? Sorry if I missed that in old threads. Thanks.

Hi,, I've tried to customize my portableApps a little by changing the folder icons.

I've replaced all the icons in "USB DRIVE:\PortableApps\PortableApps.com\App\DefaultData\FolderIcons"

But when i re-connected the drive, only the documents icon has changed, the rest (PortableApps, Music, Pictures, Videos) still have the original icons showing, even when I've removed them from the drive.

Is there another copy of the icons that exist in the drive, that they are linked to?

The menu items when on the Portable Apps pull up all say "Portable" after each one but this is totally unnecessary! We are already on the Portable Apps Menu!

What would be better is a minor note that the App is for "activity" such as FTP, Anti-Virus, game, etc. if it is not included in the name already. I appreciate that the app name is given but I do not always remember what it does just from the title.

I tried opening a program off the platform and says "you are not allowed to write the registry, continue anyways?" If i press continue it loads it to a point then closes it out. What can i do to get around this problem or even better fix it?

Can anyone tell me quickly, and in a nutshell, where to download and how to add new fonts in Open Office 3... getting bogged down with tech jargon and I figure there must be a simple way to do this...

Iv bean in the serch for a portable OS for a while to run all my windows programs anywhere without having to modify the host computer, Well i finally found something called ReactOS. ReactOS has bean fully scripted from the ground up and can install windows32 programs onto it. Its mostly open source expet for some code from WHINE emulator (probly how they can run windows programs on it without getting sewed)and i just wanted to post the link so if anyone else needs it they can find it easier. Sorry this is the only place i could think to post it...
