PsiPortable 0.11RC3 Update

Submitted by tresni on October 7, 2007 - 10:56pm

The Psi IM project had released another Release Candidate for version 0.11 of their Jabber client. No specific changelog between RC2 and RC3, but I've put together an updated paf.exe for those (like me) who like to have the latest. Should be able to use as a drop in replacement for my previous release.

In order to test the multilang launcher I'm thinking about a solution to get an easy to create an use multilang OOo Portable.

The solution I found was to separate the package part 'the linux way' in one core part an several optional parts.

The benefit is, that we are able now to produce different packages (Full Installer with all options, core only, native-lang packages, option packages and so on) using the same infrastructure and installer.

redirectorater - File Association tool - testers and comments needed

Submitted by maggotb0y on October 4, 2007 - 9:11pm

redirectorater is a non portable utility designed to be of use to people who regularly use portableApps on the same computer. You install redirectorater to your local PC and associate file types with redirectorater.exe, then redirectorater will look to see if the portable application exists, and will launch using that if available. If not, it will launch the app using a local application.
