Outdated: this has been released.

The PortableApps.com Launcher is your PAL in making applications portable. It's a universal launcher for which you don't need to write code. Instead, it's configured with an INI file (which goes in App\AppInfo\Launcher\AppNamePortable.ini), and uses a splash screen in App\AppInfo\Launcher\splash.jpg.

DelugePortable 1.3.11

Submitted by sleepwalker.int on May 16, 2010 - 4:21pm

After almost 3 years (give or take), here's a new version for DelugePortable. Tested, works great :-).
Now, on with it.

Application: Deluge
Category: Internet

DelugePortable was first developed here, but that version is quite old (before the 1.* version of Deluge) and the developer has stopped working on it. So, after reading across the internet that other people are wanting a portable version, I decided to give it a shot.

Bos Wars Portable 2.7 Development Test 1

Submitted by scriptdaemon on May 15, 2010 - 4:32am

Application: Bos Wars
Category: Games
Description:

Bos Wars is a futuristic real time strategy game (RTS). In a RTS game, the player has to combat his enemies while developing his war economy. Everything runs in real-time, as opposed to turn-based games where the player always has to wait for his turn. The trick is to balance the effort put into building his economy and building an army to defend and attack the enemies.

Encouraging feedback from users

I'd like to suggest an addition to the Development Test - Forum Posting Layout.
One of the bigger delays to the release of apps is the lack of feedback from users. As someone recently posted, buggy apps get far more feedback than stable ones, so the stable ones will languish while waiting for user input.

I think simply putting a statement right below the download link might encourage users to provide both POSITIVE feedback and BUG REPORTS.
Something like:
