I have a Memorex U3 TravelDrive, and I am looking for the Launchpad update (1.4?) to allow it to run on Vista. On my other computer that runs XP, I choose the “Check For Updates” button on the U3 drive, and it takes me to a Memorex website where it asks me to sign up for a newsletter for updates. I have been signed up for this for more than 3 months, and I have not received one message from Memorex about anything. Can anybody post a link or tell me where I can find this Launchpad update?

My laptop(an HP Pavilion)has a messed up HD. I tried to repartition my HD and it messed up windows. when i try to reinstall windows it says it cannot find my HD. when I boot linux linux can find my HD. i have backed up all of my files so what should i try?

Here's the deal. I'd like very much to switch to Linux (Ubuntu) for multiple reasons, but AS WELL, I'm also going to need my Windows system from time to time for certain applications, etc. I've read numerous How-To's on crating a dual-boot laptop, but I'm a little iffy as to whether on now to try one. The one I found that I seem to like best is this one

The laptop I travel with is owned by the company and we use smartcards for access. The system is locked down so we can't install on it and have no admin rights. That keeps the company's computers standard. It works well!

I need your opinions, I can;t decide between the 3, I want OpenSUSE's improved GNOME menu (http://en.opensuse.org/Image:Start_menu.jpg) but I am using Ubuntu currently and I love it and Fedora Core I am not sure, but I heard it was good.

Here's what happens. I log in to PA.com, go to the tracker, and open all the topics. I read them, close the tabs and exit MFF,PE. A few hours later I repeat. Then I realize that all the topics posted by Preacher are marked as new, even though I already read them. Now, I don't mean to pick on Preacher, and I don't know if he is going back to edit whatever he posted, but it's been happening for a few weeks now, so I'm not sure if it's a bug or what. Anybody else with this problem?

Is it possible to switch between GNOME/Beryl and Blackbox without rebooting, I know I asked you people if I should use KDE or GNOME but I saw a screenshot of GNOME with Beryl imitating the Windows Aero interface and was beautiful and a beautiful screenshot of Blackbox and I want to use both by switching back and forth, without rebooting, so is it possible?
