This site was pointed out to me when one of the youth I work with in a youth group in my commmunity when he was doing a little research on John T. Haller and he found this out http://www.hallerlaw.com/. I looked at it and got a chuckle or 2 from it. seems there are 2 John T. Haller. I wondered what happened to one of a kind :P. Anyway to make things even more strange my fathers name is Mark-Anthony Rector.

When should I use TOR?

Submitted by emuostrich on March 22, 2007 - 1:24am

When is the benefit of anonymous browsing worth the cost of reduced bandwidth? Currently I am only using the TOR / Privoxy network connection when accessing financial sites, but would it be worth using TOR all the time, and what exactly is the benefit of this anonymity? Thanks,

Adam

BIOS Hack Linux Virtual CD

Submitted by emuostrich on March 22, 2007 - 1:21am

I was trying to reboot one of the computers at my school with the Ubuntu Live CD, and instead of running Ubuntu, the machine restarted in Windows. Then, when I tried to change the BIOS settings during startup (to allow boot from CD), it asked for a password to make changes. Is there any way to override this password protection?

Thanks,

Adam

Hey, I know very little about programming and editing open source programs to make them portable, but I would love to learn!
Are there any websites or books or any other type of media that exists in this day and age that can help me learn how to program?
(I would like to know something before next semmester at school b/c i am taking a intro to programming class and if it is ANYTHING like the PC repair 1 class at my school, I need to know something before the class starts)

Hi, I seem to have a problem with windows Explorer. Everytime I press and icon eithr in the quick launch tray on in the Start Menu, I get the message that reads something like: We are sorry for the inconvenience....

I had this problem before and sorted it by changing the way explorer diplays things to details rathr than icon.

Any Ideas?

Like making a certain app portable, or start your own OS or something, what is it?

Mine is to create a program called Linux for kids, a kid gets a Laptop with Edubuntu or Edukubuntu (A KDE version of Edubuntu I might make if this becomes reality) installed on it, this is an effort to expose children to something other than Microsoft Winblows.
