Microsoft Edge incorrectly identifies downloads as unsafe on SmartScreen
When I download an app for example AIMP, it says this download has been blocked because it considered unsafe according to Microsoft SmartScreen. Is this a false positive?

Today Chrome is flagging all downloads from this site as malicious and not even giving me a option to keep it, just dismiss it.
Tested with Firefox and it also flags the downloads as containing malware, but at least it gives me the option to allow the download.
Is there a way to contact Chrome and let them know they are detecting a false positive?
I have been registered on this forum for many years, but this is one of the very few times I have posted.

Hi, I am using WinMerge Portableapps to compare files (great for that).
And I have another tool compare folders (WinMerge folder comparison is not usable), which is not portable unfortunately. https://imgur.com/a/qhse3hS
Is there an environment variable created by PortableApps Platform I can use in order to enter the path of WinMerge Portable?
Regards
Hi, I am using Ditto Portable (great app for information) on my Windows 11. This app is located on my Office Onedrive and I have set the Onedrive option 'Always keep on this device' option to DittoPortable folder. I also set this app to start automatically with Windows.
Unfortunately after just a few days, first Ditto lost its database history and then a few days ago the Ditto configuration option I set for this app (it is a highly customizable app) disappeared.
Am i doing something wrong ? How can I prevent this ?
Hey there,
The "About Google Chrome" settings page lists v101.0.4951.67, released May 12, along with the expected "An error occurred while checking for updates" message. But this time I'm also seeing an "update" notification on the main interface drop down menu, along with a notification that states "Can't update Chrome to the latest version", something I've never seen before
However, the latest version is v103.0.5060.114, released 7/5, as listed on it's portableapps product page, as well as on other official Chrome pages.
The platform does not update it.
Hi,
I have PortableApps applications I would like to run at Windows startup like Ditto Portable as well as other portable applications.
Is there a Startup folder inside PortableApps (or something similar) where I could put all the portable apps I want to start when PortableApps Platform is starting ?
This way I just have to start PortableApps Platform at Windows startup and all the other portable apps I want to start with it are starting as well.
Hi,
It is possible to remove this reboot PC icon from portableapps ?

I never use it. Regards

I have to do the workaround via SyMenu and it only works when I install ONLY the 64Bit version. (in SyMenu you may choose the version)
I would like to have it in PortableApps. - Doesn't work.
Edit:
It always does to choose the 32Bit version, though I have the 64Bit OS.???
I know the problems registering portable software, but normally, this is no problem.
Associate filetypes by ending does work, but this is not a workable workaround to 35 manual jobs...
even then it falls back to any before registered windows stuff...
