Or can I add any portable app to the platform suite? I prefer it to liberkey but I want to import some apps from liberkey to the portableapps platform that aren't available in the directory.

Has any one run Portable Apps from a CD Rom? I have an old laptop that I need to scan using Clamwin and there is no network port or USB driver installed and my client can not modify the laptop but needs to make sure it is clean. It does have a CD that works properly/

When I boot my computer and hit the F9 key to select a boot option, I can't boot to my USB drive. I have other USB drive I can boot too. Is there something I can download onto my USB drive to boot to it.

As a happy newcomer to PortableApps I wonder whether full real-time protection is ensured by the resident Antivirus + Anti-Malware + Firewall software on the host PC (the one into which the USB Flash drive is connected) assuming of course those are up to date and work properly. If so, I would promptly conclude they are useless on a Flash drive.

Hello, instead of running portable apps from a removable drive, I am using them from the local disk. When I tried to copy over to another computer, I ran into problems. Specifically, Thunderbird portable didn't work as expected, most of the mail folders showed without any content in them. I am wondering whether it is required that a portable app be always stored in the same physical device.

about MP3Gain Portable. I read the reason why it could not be portable. It writes that it use admin rights. But i can use this program perfect (with all functions) without admin rights.

I lost my flash drive so everything I had stored in Portable apps is on my c drive I need to update my version of portable apps how can I install the 10.0 version over the version I have or how can I transfer everything I have stored in portable apps could you please email me at [email removed] Thank you

I just started using the suite. I've noticed that some apps, the latest being Pidgin 2.10.1 does not update. It stays on 2.10.0. The updated program is posted on the site.

Something I'm doing wrong, or does it not update minor updates?

When I select an app from the Portable App Directory and click Next, I see a confirmation that the app was installed and available in the PortableApps.com menu. When I look at the App Platform menu there is nothing listed. What am I doing wrong?

OK. I wasn't checking the check box by the app. It works fine.
