We're aware of and working on the site slowdown issues that have been occurring for the last few days. My apologies for any inconvenience these have caused. I'll keep everyone updated as we troubleshoot and learn more. Platform downloads should be mostly unaffected by this.
For those who don't know me, I've been around for years... I used to be a bit more active several years ago. Big fan of the platform/project. I started using PA on an 8GB Corsair Readout — flash drive that showed you the MB remaining right on the drive. It was really cool. Since then I've used it on big external hard drives, portable (bus powered) hard drives, USB 2.0 flash drives, USB 3.0 flash drives, and now I'm using it on a Samsung T3 portable SSD.
I'm using FirefoxPortable from this website as my daily browser for over 10 years now.
I keep it on a truecrypt (veracrypt) container, and have it registered as default app. To launch the browser, you have to mount the veracrypt volume with a password first. I secure my history and passwords this way (as well as other sensitive apps, such as messengers and email clients).
Today, on at least three different occasions, when navigating News pages, I've encountered this phishing-like behavior, where addresses where changed as shown below.

According to Development Test - Forum Posting Layout I'm supposed to make a comment on the Development Test Releases Page.
Once I do that is it supposed to show up in the list or at the bottom? What subject do I use?
Or do I use the "Add content" link?
Can PortableApps do what XTraPC can do? Boot from the USB? https://www.xtra-pc.com/
Is there a way to find out the post link before posting so it can be included in help.html and appinfi.ini the first time posting, or do I just upload the installer twice to Sourceforge?
Also if I forgot some info. in the help.html and appinfi.ini do I need to increment the Dev test number or is it only for something that affects the running of the software?
I found myself installing a certain very large portable app into the wrong folder and helplessly stared at it as it kept installing.
Could you add a stop button into the *.paf.exe files?
That's how it usually is in other installers.
It should be especially easy in this case as the installer basically extracts files. So just stop extracting them and delete their folder.
