Hi!

I was looking for a way to sync my entire portableapps drive with a central server.

So I could play around on 1 drive, sync any new/changed files and settings up to the server, and sync it down to my second drive when I want to use it. Works good for backups too.

So, any portable way to do this? With a windows server to hold the backup/sync data?

Pretty much what I want to do is something like the Dropbox portable that doesnt exist, but rather than full auto, it syncs when I click the button.

I am trying to install chrome portable on the PC of my company.
Due to secured proxy, the installer can"t download the application trough internet.

Is there a version for offline installer ?

I am looking for a "notepad" style portable app which includes "auto save every x minutes" and "backup" features. I downloaded all the apps I could find like akelpad, notetap2, notetap++, but it seems that I cannot find any app which includes both the features.

Am I missing anything?

I'm just wondering, Is GoDaddy the best for domain? I know it is compatible with Drupal.

I was using my portable hard drive one minute and then the next it doesn't even register. It's also making a constant noise like it's trying to boot up but it just doesn't. When I do the safely remove it's registered on the computer but not as the name that I created for it. What can I do?

It says here: "New apps every day is on a brief hiatus while we finish up the PortableApps.com Platform 'Next' release. We'll be releasing lots more new apps once it's done!" But the platform is already done, but it says here, https://portableapps.com/news/2011-12-08_-_portableapps.com_platform_10.... that he's going to start new apps again.

One week has passed, but no new apps. Could it be that no further new apps will be released after InstantBird?

Hi,

when someone decides to submit a new topic on the Forum, he could encounter a little annoying situation. He starts writing the body of his question/topic, and halfway he decides to open the "More information about formatting options" link, to see how he could emphasize a word, or add a smiley. The page replaces the previous one, and when he found the info looked for and goes back through the browser...

I don't know if the ability to select apps for download from within the Portable Apps platform is new or not, but I just found it and think it's great!

I was starting with a fresh install of the latest platform which doesn't come with any apps other than the music offering. So when I looked at it and found that I could just check the apps I wanted and then let the platform download and install them from one operation, I was very pleased.

I've been getting errors for many app downloads (not all):

Could not connect to remote server

Last happened when attempting to d/l Opera 11.60.

Any ideas?
