So this might be obvious but where do all the apps store their data? Would my data be safe if i log on to portable chrome for example at school.

I see on the home page there are icons dropbox after the word "carrier cloud or on a portable drive" how can I install and run thuderbird through dropbox, ownCloud and other cloud services?

apparently downloads of portable packages from Sourceforge are blocked by Google Chrome. I have tried to search the forum but haven't found anything definitive and/or recent in regard to this.

Simple question: Are portable apps hosted on Sourceforge a risk? Have they been modified by Sourceforge in any way?

Is there a portable app you can recommend to pull audio from video files? Audacity doesn't seem to be able to do it with the video files I have.

Hi, I've understood that Google removed "relaunch in Windows 8 mode" in update 49....
Does anyone has an installed (extracted) of an earlier version (perhaps 48) that they can share?
I tried using older paf files and it fails to install...

Why is TEncoder Video Converter listed on PortableApps webpage, but cannot be found in the "Get more apps..." menu within PortableApps platform? I've tried several apps sorting methods and none lists the TEncoder. Not even alphabetical (Title) one where I looked for letters starting with "T".

Is this intentional or a glitch?

I'm currently using Mozila Sunbird portable but I cant find a way to open it in Android..

Is there a portable cross platform calendar that can run in Windows and Android from a usb drive?
