First, sorry if this is the wrong forums. I do not know where else to place this and I don't seen an option to contact a moderator directly. IRC has also been unhelpful to say the least.
Hey guys!
I'm the developer of WebTorrent Desktop (https://webtorrent.io/desktop).
I'm working on making the app portable, right now. I was wondering what the criteria is to be included in the PortableApps.com Platform? Is there interest in having this app added to the Platform?
Hi there,
I've been working on a portable version of the music coding software Sonic Pi. We've just released the first portable version of the app on the web site http://www.sonic-pi.net/#windows. Is it possible to get it listed in the Portable Apps Directory? https://portableapps.com/apps
Cheers
G'day,
Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware is reporting a threat in FoxitReaderPortable_7.3.4.0311.paf.exe.
Two out of the 56 testers at Virustotal report something amiss with this file.
The MD5 hash of the file downloaded/tested file matches the MD5 hash reported on PortableApps.com.

I've got PA "installed" into my Dropbox and managing nearly all my core programs. As a result, I actually have the launcher running on startup.
Is there a way - command-line switch or something - to run the launcher so it just loads up into the taskbar / tray icon, without showing the PA launcher window?
I have lots of portable apps from various sources, but I really like the portableapps launcher.
So I wanted to know if I can add other portable apps to its menu that are not in the portableapps package.
For example I have portable SublimeText and portable Python both of which I would like to launch from within the portableapps platform.
I have a USB stick that I've had for a few years. I keep a few things on it. I'm interested in using it with PortableApps (specifically with Chrome Portable). Can I use it and still have the other non-PA files on it?
EDIT: I forgot to ask but what about capacity? My intention is to mainly use Chrome Portable with the LastPass Extension (they have a portable version). Beyond the space needed for LastPass's database, how much space will PA & Chrome Portable require (ball park estimate is fine)?
Thanks!
Something I'm curious about:
I hardly ever need to use the PortableApps Platform from a USB etc - I use it from a permanent folder on my hard drive into which I've installed the platform and all the applications.
The advantage is that I can update all my preferred apps (GIMP, PowderToy etc etc) through the app suite more easily than by updating each individually. For someone like me -who'll always want to update to the latest version of GIMP the moment it becomes available- this feels like a big advantage over the other ways of updating within Windows.
Hey everybody.
Every once in a while, my portable Chrome will not start because for the following reason.
http://s9.postimg.org/jjmhxlsn3/Capture.jpg
I don't know why this happens as it's neither updating nor did I make changes on my computer. It just won't work again.
Reinstalling Visual C++ or the .net Framework doesn't help either.
Does anybody know why this happens and how I can resolve this error?
Thank you
Kledde
