I was actually aware of the prohibition against putting (the Haller brand of) portable apps into the official "Program Files" folders when I unwrapped 7-Zip. Still wanting to retain something resembling the native Windows naming scheme, I created a root-level folder called "Program Files (portable)" and put my portable apps into that. Come to discover, however, that the prohibition extends even to this new folder, simply because it merely contains the name "Portable Files."

I have a problem when trying to down load Portable Apps . The browser says connecting and after 30 secs it just says "problem loading page".
Any Ideas why this happens?

I've used players that have one copy html code into a receptacle on the page
but cannot find another like that.

I do know the host uses flash

The installation of the platform (on a Windows 7 Pro) aborts with an extraction error of the Chinese language locale... Tried several times, also several downloads, same problem...

I need to continue running a browser with a working java plugin. Considering the the plugin is going away (http://www.theverge.com/2016/1/28/10858250/oracle-java-plugin-deprecatio...), will using the portable Chrome Browser allow me to continue using it 'forever'? (Does the portable browser auto-update itself?)

I am wanting to use the whole collection so I am wondering how big of a usb is needed? Also an 8 gig isn't big enough... Found that out the hard way after 48 hours of trying to get all the apps.
