Can Advanced WindowsCare Personal be installed into its own folder in the PortableApps directory on my USB drive and be made portable this way?

I think I lead to some misunderstanding. Sorry maybe i do again. The thing is actually simple.

IF there is a new version of a program THEN some people test it. (registry, etc.) and tell the rest of the people if a NEW version of the LAUNCHER is needed or not!

Obviously, you probably don't want to put your thumb drive in a computer that is very likely to be compromised, nor do you want to be accessing anything too sensitive unless you are pretty sure about the computer.

So odd question here, am I missing something or is there not a way to change the sort order in the forums, it would be really nice (especially in longer topics) to be able to sort purely by date rather than in the reply tree format, a post was added 1.x hours ago, but try finding it?

I planned to make a mod of Convey Portable that integrates the features of C.A.F.E., S.U.C.R.E. and M.P.Cube, unfortunately, the last 3 apps i mentioned are in French, I only know English and a little bit of German, and free online translators = crap.

CAFE allows users to set temporary file associations so that files on your USB device can be opened by apps on your USB. SUCRE simulates the built in "Run" command for Windows, and M.P.Cube creates a portable playlist by converting absolute paths from a .m3u file to relative paths.

I am looking for a portable application that would entirely password lock my USB key so nobody could see the files without password. I need the application to be installed only on the USB key. It is enough if it would create a virtual disc on my USB. Can you help?

But for some unknown reason I cannot reply directly to it.

I downloaded Portable Apps Base Edition and I wanted to use it to restore my three weeks old backup (I have lost my thmbdrive :-().

I have tried the operation on two different machines with the same results: restore stopped to OpenOfficePortable folder.

Just wondering if theres any portable serial number or cd key storing software. ive searched forums here and at portablefreeware, so im guessing theres not any software out there, but again just wondering.

I saw the tutorial at Lifehacker about using Microsoft Foldershare to COMPLETELY syncronize (bookmarks, cookies, extensions, themes, etc.) different firefox installations between machine. However, it seems as if you have to run an installer to use Foldershare, and obviously, you can't always do that.

Has anyone had any luck using this program without installing it?

I have a question about the devices which you can choose for portableapps.
I don't know if portableapps is useable on a DVD-RW with all its functions. That means that every function works. So changes should be changed after every setting.
Does it work?
