Do Portable Apps work on Poecket PC's?

Submitted by jbirdAngel on November 11, 2006 - 6:29pm

Hello,

im recently looking into pocket PC's, and id like to be able to use GIMP and Inkscape and such on it if at all possible, though i realize the small screen might make it intersting to use, so wondering if these happen to work on pocket pc's as that would be really nice... if not, know of versions of these apps that do or is that possible?

thanks - jason

1.5 firefox

Submitted by jd407 on November 10, 2006 - 11:53pm

I had the old version of firefox 1.5 which I liked. My sister came
over and desided my computer needed updating. My computer has not worked right since, my bookmarks are all gone I can't get into my e-mail. This computer is shared. I now have the Portable version loaded just so I can have something close to what I had before, but I have to do back flips to get into it. How can I get my old version back. And yes I have tried to do a computer restore for a back date but somehow it seems to have taken that abality away from me also. My computer has been possesed since the download version of the 2.0.

Method to make Firefox portable!

Submitted by Mefisto on November 8, 2006 - 12:03pm

First excuse my bad english, I'm a schoolboy from germany.

I have found a way to make firefox 2.0R3 to the oficial firefox 2.0 without having any problems!!

Download the real Firefox 2.0 Application from the official Firefox site:

1. Download

2. Install the Downloaded copy of Firefox 2.0!

3. Copy all the files of the folder "/Programs/Mozilla Firefox"!!

4. Select the folder within the portable version of Firefox an past the copied files in the folder "/App/firefox"

5. Now you have got an up-to-date version of firefox 2.0 Portable

I don't know if this has been allready mentioned, and I don't want to be a "know-it-all", but in my opinion, if my method is working, you shouldn't waste your time in develope a better version! Take this and concnetrate on other aps!
