Portable Komodo Edit.

Submitted by miksago on July 2, 2007 - 9:36pm

Okay, I found a bit of info on make Komodo Edit run off a flash drive, but it's way way to big, so I'm curious whether someone could make a compressed version + remove the need for opening command prompt to execute it.

Program: Komodo Edit

License: Free, based on Mozilla lib's so should be under same licensing.

Description: Advanced text edit with syntax highlighting, autocompletion of language specific keywords, ability to have addons ect. (not sure if it's exactly the same as Nvu.)

GNU Backgammon

Submitted by Klan on July 2, 2007 - 12:51am

Hi there

I am travelling a lot, and at the same time plays backgammon in some high stakes matches. I use this program to analyze my play, or just for practice.
Its free, and its very very strong, its analyzing parts is just as good as the programs that costs 500$

So may I suggest this added to the portable apps?

What's about TrueCrypt and TOR?

Submitted by J0K3R2005 on June 30, 2007 - 10:01pm

Hello at all

My english isnt very good - soory xD

I want to ask: Is it possible that TreuCrypt can be a Part of the portableapps Aplications? That would very nice..

For information, Truecrypt is a opensource disk encryption software for Windows and Linux.

At truecrypt.org you can get all information about it. It already has a "portable Mod", but the problem, that required Admin privilegs...

The other Question is: Is it possible for you to ad the anonym surfing utility named TOR to portableapp?

PDF Creator

Hello All,

What about an open source PDF Printer Driver like PDF Creator.

Start it up from the USB Drive and then generate PDFs till the cows come home.

I'm pretty sure it's a little more complicated. Is it possible? Can it just run in the background without being installed on the local machine?
