Opera Portable

Submitted by avbushuev on November 23, 2008 - 4:39am

Hi, I prefer to use Opera as internet browser. I use Opera@USB by Markus Obermair (http://www.opera-usb.com) but I prefer it to be in the same folder and to use the same Portable Apps menu as other Portable Apps do (now it's impossible). I dislike Mozilla Firefox Portable because of its very slow work: it works like tortoise from my flash drive (without any extensions). Opera works much faster. Thanks.

BlueJ

Submitted by Cyberius on November 22, 2008 - 1:36pm

"BlueJ is an Integrated Development Environment for the Java programming language, developed mainly for educational purposes, but also suitable for small-scale software development.

It is a windows-based platform for Java Development Kit or JDK. It can work for JDK 1.3 version and not for lower versions."

This would be great for all beginners in Java Programming since they can test the program they're making.

Start-Up

Submitted by Akkifokkusu on November 20, 2008 - 9:19am

Program: Start-Up

License: GPL

Description: Start-Up is a utility for creating shortcuts of files and applications in a PC's Startup folder. It is made to be placed in a computer's SendTo folder to allow it to be run from a file's context menu. It is still a portable app, though, because an alternative method is simply to drag a file onto Start-Up.exe. That file will go into the PC's Start-Up folder.

httphotos portable?

Submitted by digicamsoft on November 19, 2008 - 5:13pm

Hi,

I'm the main author of httphotos which is a tool to create web galleries.
It can be downloaded here:
http://www.digicamsoft.com/softhttphotos.html

It's size is less than 1Mb (940kb) and I'm ready to make it portable (I'm sure it's going to be very easy).
It's freeware but not open source though, is it an issue?

Please let me know,
Thanks,
Greg
