Req: Self Image
I'd like to see this open source app portable.
It's a Ghost like application to create and restore disk images...
Thanks...

Hello my name is kelton and i'm a computer technician. i love portable apps to death, but there is one thing i would like to add to it that i cant find. there are some programs that i use to repair, cleanup, backup, etc. computers but my clients dont like those programs downloaded to there system i figured it would be easier to use them via portable apps, but i cant find them. such programs consist of CCleaner, Disk cleaner, Floola, and avast virus scanner. just to name a few.

While I was looking for how to install portable java without administrator privileges (without editing the registry) and all self contained on the flash stick, I ran across this discussion:

I am using a program called jconvert from sourceforge which converts different units of measurements, however I cannot make it work through the portable apps menu as I have done with other applications. Is this because it is a .jar file and is there a way to make it work through the menu like other programs or can it be made into a portable app?. Normally all I do is put it into a folder, of the same name, in the PortableApps part of my flash drive but this doesn't work, meaning i have to find it through MyComputer.
Hi
What's about the mp3 editor tool: mp3DirectCut ?
I know that there is a portable version of Audacity but I like mp3DirectCut more because its smaller and faster!

Has someone already think about this tool as a portable app?

Is there a way to make the Sun WTK portable?
Info about it: http://java.sun.com/products/sjwtoolkit/download.html
I think there should be a way to make it work if I copy the Java SDK to my USB.
I would like to have a portable-apps packaged version of this media player, as it is totally functional & reproduces almost all the video/audio files unless the decoder isn't installed. I have a copy of the license agreement, & its not gpl, but i think someone qualified cold contact the creator of the app & obtain the permissions.
Thanks.
I have done a search without success. Is there a portable version 1 available for download? I have the current version but I want version 1 for an old laptop that has limited memory (it runs in half the memory of version 3).
