Elasto Mania and Limewire

Submitted by SonOfOsiris357 on May 18, 2007 - 7:24pm

Elasto Mania (Elma) is a motorcycle simulation game based on real physical models. The game itself is portable, but when there needs be a launcher for it so it can work from the portable apps menu. ElastoMania.com

and there needs to be a portable version of Limewire Pro, but before anyone says anything about that being illegal. You should know that you can download Limewire Pro off of the free version of Limewire. Limewire.com

i think this would be a great addition to the portable apps line up. Although it has been out of production for a while, i still have a copy of it, and its still relatively easy to find

Well, my second post here Smile
Another great progam for musicians like me would be some kind of tablature editor, there are many like Guitar Pro but i doubt they are open source. But good news, there is a GuitarPro alike which is called TuxGuitar, it's open source and there are diferent ports for almost any system. That would be a great program to have Biggrin

I dunno if you've heard but there is a distro of linux which is really small (called Damn Small Linux), and that distro can run from a USB device into windows, pretty much the same concept as PortableApps.. well, here's my question, Can you integrate it into the Portable Apps menu? Like, have linux as another protableapp?

You get a story with this request:

I'm in high school and I had to take a practice interview. I made the resume on word 2007.
Before you start flaming me about using M$ or software that cost money, please understand that I need office, because I need it for my business class, and Open Office 2 sucks.

Reading microsoft .lit files

Submitted by darthfredd on May 15, 2007 - 9:30am

I am summoning this topic from the dead. It was discussed once already, but nothing has come of that discussion.

To summarize:
- .lit files are "Microsoft Reader" ebooks.
- There are those among us that would like to read .lit files portably
- The only solution is to either convert the books (which breaks many of them) to another format or install MS reader on every machine.

So how about it, Portable Apps people? Can you find a way to make .lit files readable by any windows machine I plug my drive into?

Love and kisses!
-the fredd
