Request Apps

Got a suggestion for an app that should be portable? Post it here.

I'm almost there...

Well, I'm actually almost portable-app independent. I think three things that would be great are a file browser (Firefox isn't that great about folders), text editor (like Notepad...but more like Kate), and a terminal emulator (I've seen a lot of people request this: it seems like it would be hard to do, translating from DOS to BASH or typing drives).

Portable Netscape Browser 8

Submitted by alexvoda on April 17, 2007 - 2:21pm

OK
I know that probably no one uses it and it's made by AOL but it is a piece of history and stands in front of MS saying "HA!I am still Alive!".
Netscape 8 is pretty much a modified Firefox so it should be easy.
I know someone made a starter for Songbird which couldn't be ported because of copyright issues.
Same here.So can someone make a starter or do-it-yourself ho-to guide for Netscape 8 Portable edition?

Portable Bluetooth?

Submitted by Mattis on April 17, 2007 - 5:20am

Maybe it would be nice to have a portable Bluetooth program, so that where ever i or someone else is we can use are bluetooth to combine are pc,mobile, handpc, (everything using blutooth). I would fancy that a lot. I really need a portable blutooth program.
i suggest a program called "bluesoleil", you can find it on the internet but not portable.

Apps Suggestion: ImageToAVI 1.0.0.5 Full non-install

Submitted by ipide on April 16, 2007 - 7:05pm

Here is a little program I found that will convert a series of images to an AVI movie. Great for stop motion animations, time lapse videos, etc.

It even comes with a bonus word game called Wisher! (I haven't tried the game, so please don't ask me what it is like)
