TeamViewer Remote Support

Submitted by Tilo R. on April 27, 2007 - 11:38am

Hi,

We are the developers of TeamViewer (www.teamviewer.com), a tool for instant remote control and remote support of computers over the Internet.
TeamViewer is fully free for non-commercial users, and it would be possible to make it portable in the sense that is meant here, so e.g. that TeamViewer leaves no traces in registry.

We also offer commercial versions that are very often used by our customers from a USB stick etc., for example to contact their home pc while they are travelling or are at remote locations.

News ticker

Submitted by pj80471 on April 27, 2007 - 8:23am

I've tried the search (yes honestly I have) and can't find anything yet.
I'm looking for a "news ticker" and/or "finance ticker" that can run just from USB stick. Using GreatNews as an RSS viewer, but looking for a scrolling ticker.

The one on http://www.bbc.co.uk is similar but wants installing like the one for http://www.nasdaq.com

Has anyone come across a standalone ticker that can be used please ? (sorry not an RSS viewer)

Thanks, Phil (UK)

U3 Packages

Submitted by BaDFaZ on April 27, 2007 - 2:46am

I wanted to request that all programs have a u3 package download available. This is because the more recent USB flash drives have a U3 platform and you cannot not simply install the portable programs without formatting the flash drive.
Thanks

Halo Zero

Halo Zero is a fan made game that could possibly be ported into a portable format. And i dont believe it would be illegal like actually porting Halo so it seems possible to me.

Portable Offline Internet Browser

Sounds strange doesn't it, hehe. Being a student who doesn't have internet at home, it would be extremely useful if there was a portable web browser (or plugin; to Firefox of course) that was able to save websites in a cache on your USB so you could browse the sites later.

I had this in mind because I have discussion boards for some of my online classes, but I often don't have time to read them until later at night when the school is closed.
