hi
i would like to have an application that well record, how a software is install and copy the files to a folder. Then the application make a (exe) executable file, that well have a Log of each file and how to run the software. other name for this app are: portable installer, portable creator and more.
thk.
MediaCoder, a free, open-source media conversion utility, has a tutorial on how to make it portable. On launch, it opens a browser, which would keep it from being portable(history). For some reason they ask to place a Firefox install in the folder... since its open-source, could someone design a PAF-compliant package of MediaCoder (w/whatever elements it asks for, i.e. Firefox)?
WIPFW is an open source firewall. It has packet filtering and ip accounting which monitors usage like to your router or other devices/computers.
Well, I'm actually almost portable-app independent. I think three things that would be great are a file browser (Firefox isn't that great about folders), text editor (like Notepad...but more like Kate), and a terminal emulator (I've seen a lot of people request this: it seems like it would be hard to do, translating from DOS to BASH or typing drives).
It's stand alone and powerful
