Password Manager

Submitted by wsm23 on March 28, 2006 - 9:36pm

I have tried Roboform and Signup Shield, both U3 versions.

I need more than the free 10 logins that they offer.

I like the interface on both.

I have looked at other password managers but the others I have run into are more
secure storage and/or copy and paste. Too many steps for me. I use a computer because I and a typical American. I am lazy.

I am using FF for some of my passwords, but I would like to keep that info more secure.

Any user friendly, open source Password Managers that you know of?

Here's a Portable C Compiler

I've seen requests for a portable C++ comiler and saw the thread about Bloodshed Dev and how the problem with it is that it is so HUGE...

Well this isn't a C++ compiler but it does do C. It is also tiny as one might guess by it's name (it will fit on a floppy disk!). It was made for Posix platforms but has recently been ported to Windows using the MinGW includes.

The main page for TinyCC it is here.
And the original port to Windows, TinyCC-PE, can be found in this mailing list thread.

Portable Ruby on Rails - nice!

I'm setting this up as a tangent to the uniform server ( a great portable wamp server for PHP) thread

Check out the Ruby portable install at
http://instantrails.rubyforge.org/wiki/wiki.pl

Its really nice - lots of links to tutorials and stuff.

But is there a decent portable My-Sql admin tool? I utterly hate doing sql on a (portable)web app - it just doesn't work!

File Tags

I have been wondering about this for some time. Is there a program out there that would let you add meta information to a file/folder so that you could browse files according to content instead of a directory structure?
The idea is that you could add notes and info to a file and be able to search a database of all your files according to date modified, notes or whatever.
