is a portable version of nero burning already present? if not it would be cool to have one.
I'd primarily like this for the X11 server. I have to use windows boxes at school all the time, but they never have an X11 server installed, so I can't easily ssh to my home system (well, I can, but a command prompt isn't necessarily useful). (Also - a portable ssh client aside from putty would rock.)
Cygwin is an open source package available at http://www.cygwin.com
Alright, I know it's obviously not open source, but it is free...
Does anyone know the plausibility of making this portable? (Or if it's portable already). I know how M$ loves their registry, so I'm just assuming it's not totally portable.
In portable Firefox and Opera you can`t pause download and resume some other time (no matter it is saved on usb and not on hard disk). So I think that portable download manager would be great idea.
Was originally looking for a MS Visio compatible app but this is quite good. Any chance of it being portable ??

I'm an avid portable-apper, but I need some suggestions about portable applications. Think you could help? Here's what I'm looking for...
I think it would be awesome to use Gobby. By putting it on usb you can transfer it to your friends, Co-workers, classmates. Would make group work in CIS a breeze.

I know that this has been posted before, and I have searched that thread. However, most of the responses are for Firefox's Bookmarks.html synchronisation.
Can someone recommend me a small bookmarks manager, just to hold URL, keywords, Properties and date and allows some searching. It should be able to export to some file (e.g. csv, txt, xml or html).
At present I am using PowerMarks and have to remember to export it to the thumbdrive before I leave for office the next day.
Thanks
Rodders
If the whole separate GTK directory idea is actually implemented this would be a great game for someone to make a launcher for.
It's based off of the game Civilization and is open source! just an idea!
