FreeMind

Is there any possibility of a portable version of FreeMind? I know that on the website there's a description of how to make it portable, but I can seem to get it to work. I use this app a lot for brainstorming and writing essays but it's not available at college so a portable version would be a godsend to me

Portable Virtual PC 2007

Hello!

I was suggest earlier virtualization app, based on QEMU, but John has declined it by licensing issues (fmod).

Dear John!
what do you think about portable (thinstalled) Virtual PC 2007?
Just one file, and just it work (tested by myself).
Only 60 Mb. [linked removed by moderator PP until further discussion]

It's free and legal UNTIL YOU REDISTRIBUTE ANY WINDOWS VIRTUAL MACHINE, but no any reason to decline redist of open source VMs (Linux, xBSD, OpenSolaris).

WAtomic

Here is a request for a little edutainment game.
It is described on it's homepage as "logic-puzzle game" and started as KAtomic clone. It is Open source and uses the GPL license. It looks pretty portable and runs from portable devices. All it probably needs is a pretty PAM wrapper and some checking wether it uses the registry.
In a space restricted by blocks you have to assemble molecules by moving the detached atoms around. It's quite fun and educational without lecturing so almost a must have for responsable "grownups" who whant to coax kids into chemistry Wink

Google Docs Offline

Ok - I have searched the forums, and don't see an answer, so here goes:

Now that Google Docs has off-line sync, I wonder about using it with Firefox Portable?

If I install the google gears add-on to FF Portable, will this install and direct all my google doc sync to the thumb drive? This would be excessively useful: to be able to sync online, plug into an offline computer, work on the google docs, and next time I plug in to an online computer, it syncs again...
