But I would like to see Opera on regardless of certain extentions that u can use with firefox. the reason is that I would Like to switch between the two browsers. also avg because I use it on my home pc and I trust it more than clamav. thanks.

Linux compatible PortableApps

Submitted by Energizer on June 2, 2008 - 10:22am

I haven't try if the applications here are linux compatible(I dont know how to try). but if ever this are compatible with linux maybe this would help the "One Laptop
Per Child"(laptop.org) by giving people more flexibility to the $100 laptop. They have a "send one get one" program where one buyer will send one to less fortunate child elsewhere. I really want to help out but I'm also less fortunate than others so I want the price to worth the product. Hope this is helpful or even just informative.

GUI Tidy
http://tidy.sourceforge.net/

Description: Tidy reads HTML, XHTML and XML files and writes cleaned up markup. For HTML variants, it detects and corrects many common coding errors and strives to produce visually equivalent markup that is both W3C compliant and works on most browsers. A common use of Tidy is to convert plain HTML to XHTML. For generic XML files, Tidy is limited to correcting basic well-formedness errors and pretty printing.

Hello,

hopefully this isn't an impossible request.

Program: Password Gorilla

License: Open Source/Free

Description: Cross platform, encrypted, password manager

Website: http://fpx.de/fp/Software/Gorilla/

This program is extremely small and is already set up as a portable app. I'm just requesting Portableapps.com integration.

Thanks,

David the Zombie

Media Browser

Submitted by mstinaff on May 29, 2008 - 2:24pm

I am looking for a media browser to run on a large portable drive on which I plan to store all my photos and home movies.

Requirements:
portable
pic and vid support
category/label/tag support

picasa does photo and video, supports labels, but is not portable.
fsviewer is portable, supports tags, but only does photos
Irfan Thumbnail is portable, does photo and video, but does not support tags
Photomesa supports categories, but only does photo and requires .net

Does anyone know of an app that does it all?

Thanks!
