new basic IDE interpreter "KBasic"

Submitted by tarka on June 14, 2006 - 7:43pm

Hi
could you look at this Kbasic IDE personal edition (interpreter)
the IDE feels like VB6 and is VB6 syntax compatible, forms handle differently though.
I found it can be installed and then copied to USB stick - then works fine on other computers - see http://www.kbasic.com - download the personal edition - some limitations (does not compile only interpret)

I was wondering if you could do anything to make it more USB friendly, if needed?

thanks

Any chance of: SURETHING Cd/Dvd Labeler

Submitted by colormeblue on June 11, 2006 - 4:28pm

Any chance of someone being able to make a portable version of SureThing Cd Labeler? I would like to be able to print labels when I am at work but we are not allowed to install software on work computers. There is a free version of SureThing 4-SE on www.lightscribe.com but I have not been able to get it to install and run as a portable application. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Portable Universal PIM?

Submitted by CallMeZoot on June 11, 2006 - 11:10am

I don't have a palm pilot, so my thumbdrive is my main source for keeping information on me.

Is there a small Personal Info manager to use for keeping an address book (phone numbers, email addresses, etc.

It would be awesome if it could sync (or at least import/export) with:

-Thunderbird
-Outlook
-Cell Phonebook
-etc.

If the database could export as a simple text, html, or XML file for online backup and web access, that would be great too.

Is there anything out there with most/all of these functions?

Thanks,
chris.

Portable Songbird?

Submitted by vertex on June 9, 2006 - 10:23am

Hello

I'm new to the forums but have been using Portable Firefox for a few months and have recently become a fan of Portable VLC. They are fantastic pieces of software.

I don't believe this has been mentioned before but I have just become aware of a new program called Songbird (found here http://www.songbirdnest.com).

It's in its early stages, the developers are calling it a proof of concept right now, but I think it has potential. I, at least, would be interested in a portable version.
