QCAD

Submitted by Bayel on October 28, 2009 - 4:47am

Hello everybody;

I have downloaded QCAD and I have seen that there's no installation needed if you download the one in a zip package.

So I have extractet it to my portable apps folder and I have created an App folder with an Appinfo folder with the icon of the QCAD and the App info modified for the QCAD.

Now I'have the QCAD into my pendrive.

Enjoy it.

Free Download Manager Portable

Submitted by coolone2 on October 27, 2009 - 6:20pm

Hello

i would really like this portable app (Free download manager). I think it is much better than winwget, because it gets less errors and has more features. I can also replace uTorrent, because it supports torrents. Though it can already be placed onto a usb drive through the actual program in a portable version, I think there should be a splash screen. Second, I can make it save default to drive G: but if i change computers sometimes, it does not work.

The application is about 17-19 mb, and can be downloaded here. Yes, it's open source.

Safari, maybe?

(Note to moderators: I've asked about Safari before, but was told it was illegal because it's closed-source. However, now that PortableApps.com supports Freeware, perhaps this would be OK. If not, please delete this topic... thanks!)

Program: Safari

Inkscape and updates

Submitted by Joao_costa on October 27, 2009 - 6:54am

Hello. I would like to know why don't portable apps include inkscape, as long as some other free software that others apps suite include. I know theres license use involved, but it would be great if portable apps could have some more apps that i see in outher suites. Also, i would like to know when will portable apps have a feature to automatically update the apps and the suite itself, that would be awesome. I started using portable apps, but i found it a little limited, because i cannot had other portable apps that is not directly related with portable apps installation method.

DropUpLoad

Submitted by DinoBiH on October 25, 2009 - 11:21pm

Simple portable FTP "dropbox". I use it for a year, and it really works nicely.

You simply run it, then drop your file(s) into the box, and it uploads it to you pre-set ftp site.

You can also create a custom "box" with settings of your ftp site, and share the executable. Logon details are built in, but your "friends" cannot see it. Not sure if this is safe, but you can still use it for your own needs safely.

Please check this out. Maybe it can be packed up and added to "Applications" page.
