eM Client

Submitted by daamon on October 22, 2009 - 11:14pm

I have recently discovered this free alternative to MS Outlook and I am extremely pleased with it - so much so that I think it would be a great Portable App, if it's possible to do.

I believe it is both freeware and open source.

A Google search for a portable version already in existence only found links to Warez sites - no thanks!

eM Client: eM Client is a Windows based Communication Client for managing e-mails, multiple calendars, contacts and tasks. It contains integrated Instant Messaging for Jabber, ICQ and support for Skype with full Communication History.

Comodo Backup 2.0

Submitted by clarf on October 22, 2009 - 5:11pm

Dear PortableApps developers,

I saw you were using some freeware apps. I want to request the inclusion of a Portable version for Comodo Backup 2.0, it´s the best backup suite that I could find and I had been working with it without problems. I used previous releases for Corporative backups without any issue, now the version 2.0 is out and it´s better than ever. I tried some other free backups apps like tucan but those don´t have the features that comodo has.

New Features in this version:

MP3/general audio file list

Submitted by colonel-yum-yum on October 20, 2009 - 1:03pm

Hello All,
first off let me apologize if this has been developed/requested before but I could not find what I was looking for in the forums.

What I'd love is a small app to keep track of my music library, but not actually a player. I already have winamp and songbird on my external hard drive but very little music on it. I keep all my music (roughly 17000 tracks) on my home pc. Is there already an app where I could export my latest library file from winamp/itunes to my usb stick and be able to browse what I already have (by artist, album, title etc) in a similar way to itunes?
