There's a really nice tool named Everything. It searches the entire computer by filename only, and it does so in a matter of seconds. It has in fact been made portable by someone, but I would love to see it integrated in the PortableApps menu!
The link to the opensource program is here: http://www.voidtools.com/
Hi All,
I've searched forum to no avail in finding a portable app to download YouTube videos besides Firefox.
I know there are websites around to help do this but I can't access these sites from my work internet account.
Does anyone know of a portable app to do this?
Thanks
I've been looking around trying to find a portable version of this, I use it just about on a daily basis with planning out websites and other various projects. I acknowledge that it could fit on a thumb drive easily the way it is, but i was wondering if anyone could make an official portableapps version of it because i've tried adding apps that aren't issued by portableapps to the client, and it messes up the program. no matter what program it is, it just never works. so if you can that would be great, if not then i will see if i can make it work. Thanks guys!
Has anyone succeeded at making a portable version of the Lunascape browser? I just installed it on my computer at home, and I'm quite impressed. I'd love to have a portable version on my USB key.
Hello I've been using these portable apps for a little while now and think they're great. I would like to see some form of malware protection and looked at Clamwin.
Though the reports don't look too good and I then thought about the constant updating possibly being a problem due to an ever expanding file size full of new definitions.
Is it not possible for something like Sandboxie, VElite or Safespace to replace the need for internet security software?
Is it possible to add a closed-source, but free software to this list which does not need modification because the vendor already releases a portable bundle on his website?
I'm talking about SmartSVN which can be downloaded from
