There are some PDF writers like CutePDF or PDF995 but you have to install those to use them.

Is it possible to create a portable PDF writer?

Using a u3 device there is an application that will change your wallpaper when you insert the device and then change it back when you take it out. is it possible to do this using the portable apps suite (Menu, not sure if that's it right name)
Becuase that has always been a pretty usefull utility.

as well as enabling the menu to launch applications upon insertion or along with the menu. i know this is probably possible by editing the Autorun.inf file but i've yet to try and i'm sure it would be usefull for people not as knowlable with computers as the rest of us.

I think that we should have a voIP client officially included in the Portable Apps Suite.

I had originally thought that we should use Asterisk, but unfortunately, that is a voIP server, not a client.

So, Does anyone know of any reputable Open-Source voIP clients out there?

other comments: i did not see any new registry entries with regshot but it creates a file in the same dir that it is in.

I would like to see more development of real-time antivirus/security apps, especially BitDefender Internet Security 2008 (rather than their weak, on demand, portable version).

My kids -bless their hearts- don't virus check files on their USB sticks when loading files at school and bringing the 'gifts' home; so, ClamWin portable won't cut the mustard.

I found an ejectscript and I want to use it, but to have it shown on the menu, I know it has to be in portableapps directory. But it won't work unless if it's in the root directory. I need a shortcut executable that would show up on the menu and then launch the ejectscript. I did search, none of the results were relevant.

There are security/stability updates for several software packages available from PartableApps.com, including:

VLC Media Player 0.8.6d
WinSCP 4.0.5
Pidgin 2.3.1
OpenOffice.org 2.3.1

Could you please update these apps as a sort of Christmas gift for all users?

I think it would be awesome if some one could make a portable app out of this game. or at least out of the engine.
