Request: Firefox 1.5.0.12

Submitted by Van der Hoorn on November 2, 2007 - 5:27am

Hi there,

As a webdeveloper I like to have multiple versions of Firefox installed. Portable Firefox is the ideal way for me of working with multiple versions. I was wondering, as Mozilla no longer brings out updates to the 1.5 branch, if you guys could port Firefox 1.5.0.12 to a portable app. This is almost guaranteed the last version of the 1.5 branch, so it will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Servant Salamander clone

Does anyone know of any freeware or open source file manager that comes anywhere close to Salamander that could be used as a replacement. Or can anyone existing users suggest any tweaks that could make it portable. I know distributing a portable version would be out of the question but any help would be much appreciated. Unfortunately it seems to rely rather heavily on the registry, it sometimes works, sometimes doesnt and seems to behave rather oddly all in all. Cheers

I think it would be great to have a kind of update repository or a software looking for available updates and applying them since this would help to keep ones software up to date and would make the installation and upgrade of software easier! Preferably the updates should be performed on demand so one can start them when a fast internet connection is available?
And thank you for this great software, it helps a lot! especially openoffice.portable since openoffice is not that widespread on windows-computers yet! But also firefox ...
