IceWeasel

Submitted by baxattack on October 29, 2006 - 8:15pm

Hi-I just learned about IceWeasel and would like to request help in making a portable version for testing. Being able to test portable Firefox RC's was great! It enabled me to view it, see the changes and point out the differences between Firefox and IE 7, making it easy to introduce it to students-most of whom fell in love with Firefox right away.

Since it is based on Firefox the natural assumption is that making a portable version would be easy, but making assumptions can be tricky.

Thanks.

RealPlayer

I'd like to have RealPlayer Portable, 'cause I use my portable apps on computers where I can't install programs, so I can't play my RAM and RM files.

[dvdbackup] FairUse Wizard Portable

Submitted by Marco Ravich on October 26, 2006 - 11:41am

FairUse Wizard is an open source (GPL) DVD backup tool. It can directly encode fron DVD (without ripping) to XVID/H264(video)-AC3/MP3/Vorbis(audio)-AVI/OGM/MKV(container).
It also has internal codecs (doesn't need VFW sh*t).
It would be great to have a portable version...

Hi All.

Just found this site while looking for things to put on a few old USB drives. There are some good ones here. I also had a few already (I think) any comments on them.

All seem to work ok.
