KompoZer 0.7.10 Released

Submitted by gregtutor on September 3, 2007 - 1:37pm

I was premature a few weeks ago when I said that KompoZer 0.7.9 had been released. That was a development release only.

However, I now quote the developer:

--------------------
I'm very pleased to announce that KompoZer 0.7.10 is finally available.
This release corrects many bugs of Nvu 1.0 and includes a usable version of the CSS editor, CaScadeS.
Unlike the 0.7.9.xxx snapshots, this release is stable and ready for end-users. KompoZer users are strongly encouraged to upgrade.

Making portable version of BPFTPserver

Submitted by lado on September 3, 2007 - 2:48am

I attempted and partially succeded to make a portable version og BPFTPserver.
However I do have one problem (for which I couldn't find a solution in the forum or elsewhere):

I have a legal copy of BPFTPserver, so, naturally, I'd like to run it registered. The registration information for it is stored in HKLM/SOFTWARE/BPFTP Server/Key entry. I am not able to figure out how to set (I suppose) the launcher, that it'll enter the correct info into registry on launch of app and remove it when app is stopped?

Any help/suggestion will be appreciated.

Regards, Vladimir

Hello!
Just now I've finished (never!) my PAM-Mod-Theme called Arita 2600 (please be quiet, no one exept Prince could choose his name). I've worked hours and hours and weeks to present you this retro-styled artwork which is not so cluttered and bulkey like my brain or room Wink Nope, I found it under an old newspaper near to a ragged shoe under my desk.

How to make Photoshop cs3 portable?

Submitted by jazzrock71 on August 29, 2007 - 4:10am

Hello everybody, I've just found this forum, I'm new.
I would like to create a portable version of photoshop, because I don't want to install the program on my working place PC.
I'm interested in the whole version, not a reduction (I don't mind if it takes 500 mbytes), the most important thing is that I don't want to install it on there.
I've installed cs3 on another PC, and .... then? What should I do?
Do I need another software to detect which register have been changed?

many thanks to everybody in advance

What about JAVA?

Submitted by mostacholoco on August 29, 2007 - 1:12am

Hello everyone Smile

Although i'm a portable applications fan i'm quite new at this developing stuff. I've found a couple of java applications (simple jar files) which i found interesting. I've been thinking about how I can turn this Java apps into portableapps.com format.
However, I imagine I am not the first who thought in this so I wanted to know how can I do (using the portableapps.com way) to find and load the javaw.exe. Once I get the path the rest is quite easy.

Command Prompt Portable

Submitted by rab040ma on August 27, 2007 - 1:53pm

One of my frustrations when using a command prompt on a different machine is not having the file name completion functionality set up. It's usually turned off. I can turn it on with /F:ON (I think) in a batch file, but the control key to use (I prefer tab) is specified in the registry.

I know I wouldn't want someone else changing my preference permanently...

So I'm asking if anyone else has already worked on this sort of thing. Maybe you know of a way to set it -- like color or prompt -- that works just for one invocation?
