I need some one or ones to take a look at some code...I have a lot of it commented as parts did not work. I keep getting errors that say :

!insertmacro expects 1+ parameters, got 0.
Usage: !insertmacro macroname [parms ...]
!include: error in script: "K:\PortableApps\UnicodeNSISPortable\App\NSIS\Include\Util.nsh" on line 25
!include: error in script: "K:\PortableApps\UnicodeNSISPortable\App\NSIS\Include\TextFunc.nsh" on line 60

Help to create portable.

Submitted by ywre on April 15, 2010 - 8:04pm

Hello

I am very new to the area of portable, and wanted to know which programs really work to create portables.
And it can be a tutorial describing how to do.

I'm with several porgramas on my computer and wanted to make it portable.
Was in the area of development of the site here and did not understand much, if someone could help me,I know almost 0.1% of creating portable., I would be grateful.

Thank you.

Eraser - new version

Submitted by netgk5815 on April 14, 2010 - 6:26pm

The latest, stable, "normal" version of Eraser, after some fixes to version 6.0.6 is version 6.0.7 released today. Also, on the Eraser web site (eraser.heidi.ie), Joel (one of the developers) has said that the "5" versions are no longer actively developed and supported.

Software Suite and Office Outlook 2007 Data Backup

Submitted by Fullmetal99012 on April 9, 2010 - 1:30pm

I am working on 2 programs. One is almost done, and the other one is in several pieces. The outlook one copies the data from the "LocalAppData" outlook directory to the drive. and can transfer it back to the PC. I am currently working on getting it to run on XP, and with other versions of office.

Is this legal?

Submitted by Quadrant-X on April 6, 2010 - 10:36pm

I have many many portable apps with vmware's thinapp, but is it legal to distribute these programs?:

1. 7-zip(one file)
2. Audacity beta (one file)
3. CCleaner (one file)
4. steam (game thing) (one file)
5. Teamviewer (one file)
6. Utorrent (one file)

all of these programs are free, none have been modified at all from their original state (except obviously crammed into a single exe file) and they all have proper credits or creator info and/or company stuff somewhere in there.

I have a proposal regarding alternate formats.

Submitted by scriptdaemon on April 6, 2010 - 2:50am

Due to the fact that some developers are not satisfied with the PA.c Launcher (I won't name any names, but I don't think it's much of a secret), I propose two (or more if I have missed anything) alternate formats. PortableApps.com Format will of course begin to use the PA.c Launcher when it is released (I'm assuming that was the plan). The two other formats would be:

Custom NSIS Format - Used for packages that use custom NSIS launchers and (optional) installers (the PA.c installer would be allowed*, but so would a custom installer).

I use Revo Uninstaller Pro (but that can only fully uninstall and removes all traces behind programs)

but not a list of changes after installation
