Send Link opens up launches my web based Google account instead of starting Thunderbird Portable. Is there a way to correct this?
Hi Forum! New to PortableApps & FFPortable. I've been trying portable Firefox 3.5.3 - running from system's main hard disk. Works as designed (great!) in Windows 2000, but doesn't in Windows 98 SE (this is a multi-boot system). I have Windows 98 SE with Unicows and Kernelex, and Firefox 3.0.14 runs here correctly (regular installation, non portable).
The portable FF laucher starts and then shuts itself down almost immediately :=(
I want to install Firebug on my USB flash drive into my Firefox Portable installation.
Will this work?
Is there a Firebug Portable somewhere or will the regular Firebug install work with Firefox Portable?
Thanks!
I use Firefox Portable version 3.5.3. If Firefox is not already launched/opened, the following occurs. I click on an embedded link in an email (any program), document, or other source as long as Firefox browser is not running. When Firefox launches, I notice it is does not have my current add-ons, bookmarks, etc. If need any of the missing items, I have to close Firefox, re-start Firefox and click on embedded web link. If Firefox is already running, then this problem never occurs. How can I resolve this issue?
Im running compiled firefox out of runz on ubuntu and KDE platform
But Im triing to ecounter VLC media and no sucess
The RUNZ is HIGHLY BAD!! to run app from portable devices, why requires install frame runz and administrator permissions, ARGH!!!
If you choose portable apps for linux choose compiled, where this, on instalation:
Be a directory: config on integer part of install and maker pc
VLC SMPLayer Mplayer etc. VERY GOOD IF, OUT OF RUNZ!!!
From others HIGHLY BAD...
Long story short.... I play alot of games on http://kongregate.com and would like to transfer my game saves and stuff to portable firefox but I dont know where this data should be saved to....

I wanna take the .SOL and put them onto my portable harddrive.... but where?
I'm loving firefox portable but the one thing that has been annoying me is that the spell checker seems to forget what words I put into it.
For instance, being Australian, I use (a lot!) 'ise' words instead of 'ize' words as in: 'realise' instead of USA's 'realize'. Every time I switch a computer, even one I have been to before, I need to 'correct' my spelling.
Why would it saving the spell checker to places that it forgets between computers?
Is there a way to synchronize bookmarks between a copy of Firefox Portable and a standard desktop installation? I'd rather not have to manually open all my bookmarks and copy them over to Firefox Portable.
When I double click on the exe in the folder, up comes the splash screen, but FF itself doesn't open. Can anyone give me some advice to make it work.
I moved it from one folder to another and that could be the problem. I am also using Live Mesh to sync my desktop folder between PS's, if that has a factor. When I click on the "Live Mesh online" link, it opens FF, with no problem.
I've been running FF on a Vista machine, and then I went to an XP machine, and created bookmarks. When I moved back to the Vista machine, none of those bookmarks appear. Is it something to do with reading and writing sqlite files under the different operating systems ?
Similar things happened in my Thunderbird.
