There is a new FLASH version out, version Flash Player 10.1.82.76. But whatever I try to do to update FLASH in portableapps Firefox, it keeps showing that I have Flash Version: You have version 10,1,53,64 installed.

How on Earth can I update FLASH to 10.1.82.76?

I tried following the steps in another thread but NONE of the steps work!

Any help updating FLASH please?

What if you crash?

What if Firefox crashes and you click on "restart firefox" - does it restart portable.

And if it doesn't, has this screwed something up for the install?

I just click'ed restart by mistake, now i wonder if it might have screwed up the install.

Hi everybody

I have FFP, after use it for a while I love it. I have fixed issues about plug ins like flash-shokwave-real player even I hope to do something about Silverlight but Just now I'm fighting with some kind fo service for video-chat which uses "RTMP CONNECTION", I have tried a lot of things like update my plugins change my net configuration and more but it don't works. I don't know if is my borwser?

Can FFp work with RTMP connection?, I need another plug in? or it is not about FFP?

Thanks in advance.

Firefox Writing To Drive

Submitted by dhartsoc on August 8, 2010 - 11:50pm

Firefox's performance on my Cruzer Micro drive simply stinks. Long load time, 5 second delay after a click to see any action. Improves a bit if I go back to my 4Gb drive rather than the 8.

Does Firefox write a lot of small files to the drive while I am browsing? I am thinking I need to buy a new USB drive and wonder if I should be looking for one that has good performance writing small files.

Why is MultipleInstances not possible in general?

Submitted by c2cg on August 5, 2010 - 12:35pm

Hey there,
thanks for the great work.

But I was wondering, why MultipleInstances is per default not possible?

I changed the FirefoxPortable.ini to allow MultipleInstances and it worked smooth and very well, even if my local Firefox was running. But is there a chance to corrupt my local Firefox-Settings or what is the reason, why I have to allow it?
Incompatibilities with previous versions?

Cheers.

4.0b2 and W2K

Submitted by the-edmeister on July 28, 2010 - 3:26am

Portable 4.0b1 worked fine on W2K, but Portable 4.0b2 just shows the Portable Apps splash screen and never launches - no process in the Task Manager. There's no RtlCaptureContext error message, like with the Minefield nightly's after or on 07-08. If W2K is no longer supported, there should be a notice on the download page; but I hope John is able to come up with a fix for Portable Firefox like he did here - http://johnhaller.com/jh/mozilla/windows_95/ - for Firefox 1.5.x.x.
LOL, wishful thinking on my part.

I think this is the appropriate Bug report about what is broken.
