Firefox Portable

In the description of jPortable 6 Update 29 is mentioned, that "jPortable allows you to easily install the Java® runtime engine to your PortableApps.com-enabled device for use with portable apps like ... Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition ..., all without any Java runtime on the local PC.

After quite a few back and forths with Siber Systems including running their tracer program, I have now figured out why PortableFirefox does not work with RoboForm2Go and unfortunately this is a Firefox Portable issue, not a RoboForm issue.

Portable Firefox sits in a directory called x:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable and when run from that directory, RoboForm will not attach to the browser. However, there is also an executable buried in x:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox

Why is it there? Normal Firefox (non-portable) haven't got this file.
I read other topic, but I didn't understand anything. He say it is necessary for extensions. I deleted sqlite3.exe file, but my extensions exactly work other computers. Please give me more information..

I use firefox 7.0 portable,could I update it to 7.0.1 by update?

I'm not able to install FF Portable for all users. I work in a non-admin account. FFP installs okay, but it won't run normally.

I go to the install folder and right-click the .exe file to create a desktop icon. But when I double-click the icon I get a message that FFP is unable to run from a protected location. (System folders like C:\Windows\Programs are protected from non-admin users.)

I have created a 'master' install of FirefoxPortable with all of my favorite extensions which I use on several machines via thumbdrive. All of its extensions are up to date, and work flawlessly on the thumb.

However, when running an CD/ISO of my thumbdrive in local mode {FirefoxPortable.ini RunLocally=true} some, but not all, extensions report as 'Incompatible with Firefox $version "Disabled"'. Currently $version is 7.0.1 but this problem goes back to at least 4.x

RoboForm2GO is not attaching to Firefox 7 (at least on my W7 system). Wanted to try to install Firefox 6 again to see if RoboForm2GO would attach to that. Anyone know where the older versions of Firefox portable can be accessed, either in general or specifically Firefox 6.x.x? Thanks!

I want to update plugins for portable firefox but how do i do that

FF keeps popping to front window, why? It's soo annoying!

For example, if I am reading an article through Chrome, or Openoffice or doing something else on the Laptop, all of a sudden FF pops to the front and appears, taking me away from whatever I am doing on another page.

What causes FF to do this and why does it do it all the time and how can I stop it from happening?

A few months ago, I previously extracted the silverlight DLLs, dumped them into my firefox plugins folder on my thumb drive, and everything worked fine. Starting a few weeks ago, when I try to open Netflix on Firefox Portable, I get a blue page asking me to update silverlight.

Ok. simple right. I download the most recent SDK, unpack the .cab, and install the DLLS to the plugins folder on my thumbdrive.

The problem is, I can't get a program to unarchive the silverlight_SDK.cab. 7-zip says that the archive can't be extracted. Anyone else have this problem?
