Firefox Portable

When I initially set up Sync, it works the first time, but them every time it automatically syncs, I get an error.

"Sync encountered an error while syncing: Unknown error. Sync will automatically retry this action."

And when I check the settings, my sync key has been changed.

I've cleared the settings and re-synced many times, but the same thing happens. Even when I keep the files on the local hard drive.

I am using Firefox Portable 5 and for the past couple of days external links are opening in a new window, rather than a new tab.

As far as I know I haven't changed anything.

The settings in Tools, Options, Tabs specify external link to open in new tab, as does the Tab Mix Plus extension.

I have tried Firefox in Safe Mode with all extensions disabled and also a clean profile that I have using the 2nd Profile app.

With the extensions disabled on my main profile the problem still occurs.

I have also reset all Tab Mix Plus settings to defaults.

The portable version 5.0.1 is noted for Windows. Will it work for Mac as well, if added to a flash drive?

Why FF 6 beta 2 isn´t by Internet-Firefox.

People which need FF6 beta 2 search it by Internet-Firefox.

This encompasses two problems: One FF portable doesn't have multiple profile support. Two: I can't have FF portable open and FF regular. I know I can have multiple FF's open at once with regular Firefox by forcing the profile but if I'm using a friends computer and they have their own Firefox open and I want to open my Firefox on there's I have to close their FF in order to open mine.

PS. My own computer is now broken so I ported all my profile data for Firefox and Thunderbird to an SD installation thus I really need to have my Firefox on others computers now.

For some reason, Firefox v5.0.1 running under Windows 7/64 will not process Portable Roboform properly. Would you please consider adding "Firefox v5.0" to the "other versions" (which only seem to be super-legacy versions), for those of us hoping to downgrade?

My PC didn't an auto update and when i restarted and fired up portable FF (USB) one window had all cortrect tabs, the other only had 2 of the 15 tabs saved in previous session.

Any ideas why it's not saving previous session correctly?

Why is there a version 5.0.1 when there is no UPDATE released?

When I select "Check for Updates" in v5.0, it says, "Firefox is up to date"

I've used Firefox portable for a long time on my main PC. I upgraded to 4.0 a couple of months ago if I remember rightly, then a few weeks ago I went to 5.0 but also kept an installation of 4.0 available.

Suddenly its started crashing every few minutes and is essentially unusable (I'm using Chrome to type this!). This happens with both the 4.0 and the 5.0 instances, and also with a brand-new instance of 5.0 that I downloaded and installed. I've brought all Plugins up to date.

At some point it was possible to install a beta of Firefox and switch to Aurora channel (now in v7)
Would it be possible to reintroduce such beta version of Portable FF?
I have been trying to play around with current v5 which can be upgraded to v6 beta as of yesterday, but no Aurora ...
