Rendering atlassain.net pages

Submitted by ahacom on September 23, 2020 - 5:10am

Since version 80.x Firefox Portable is not able to display some atlassain.net pages, e.g. login page to https://teleconnect.atlassian.net (no public page, but login screen should appear).
It regards to newer pages of atlassain.net, older pages seem to work correctly.
The Firefox 80.x installed version (Win10) -not the portable one- does not have this problem.
Any idea?
Thank you
Andreas

Is it actually impossible to use firefox sync to sync ALL *TABS* between different *desktop* versions, and if so...

Submitted by taosk8r on September 22, 2020 - 2:17am

Ok, so please someone tell me I can open a large fraction of my around a hundred tabs instead of opening each one individually with the extremely marginal FF sync?

The new version broke too many of my extensions in a way that made it super unstable and unusable?

Firefox portable deletes my previous session

Submitted by carlmart on September 14, 2020 - 8:20am

One of the reasons I like Firefox Portable over regular Firefox is that it allows me to restore my previous session, where lots of information and tabs that I am using, with it's passwords and all that, are already loaded.

The problem I am having is that sometimes, when I have to exit and load FF portable again I get the message that there was a problem and need to reload. An the problem is just there: when I reload all my previous sessions and all its data disappeared.

Unregistering Firefox Portable 65

Submitted by caltroon on August 22, 2020 - 12:20pm

I've been using Firefox Portable 65 for awhile and just went to Firefox Portable 72. It works perfectly except I can't seem to open links in 72 - it still wants to use Portable 65. I have tried changing the fle associations to 72 and it still opens 65. They are in two separate folders. I don't want to use 65 but I don't want to totally delete it. How can I unregister it for urls and html and so on and have 72 open them instead? Firefox defaults are grayed out in Windows (7) default programs and are all on my old Firefox 56 (desktop type) that I use from time to time.

If I use Firefox portable on mobile.de I see no pics. This I got on an update. Now I try to use the old Version. I have found an old copy
that I am using on C:\FirefoxPortable\. To get no Update message I have created a fiele policies.json and saved it in the folder
C:\FirefoxPortable\App\distribution
the contend is:
{
"policies": {
"AppAutoUpdate": false
}
}
This works, I do not get a Update message.

FF69: Extension icons missing from toolbar

I run a dual boot system - Ubuntu and Win10. Most of my time is spent in Ubuntu so my skills for transferring FF profile data into portable FF are a bit rusty.

Today I made new FF portable app "installations" on the Win10 system. I copied active profiles from the Ubuntu system and pasted them into the Win10 FF portable apps folders.

Firefox Developer Edition - Setting a particular preference causes add-on installs to fail

I'm using Firefox Developer Edition v79, and I've been getting plagued by a particular issue for a while, but only recently found a bug report that clued me into the cause - and it's specific to the portable version only.
