Firefox Portable

running fportable from my flash drive for past 2 months and yesterday i get a message that it cannot run from a read only location. but my flash drive isnt read only and so are the folders in it! i'm lost.

I have a major problem/bug with Firefox portable, and I subscribed to the forum hoping that I am not the only one who had this issue, and hopefully that someone has a cure for it.

Symptoms:

• When I enter a URL that does not exist or a URL whose server is down, Firefox portable freezes for about 15-30 seconds before I finally get the page that says "Problem loading page / Server not found".

Frequency:

• Always.

Variants/examples:

At my school when I use FireFox portable, it won't find the page it just says: "Server cannot be found, check the URL...ect." It works fine on my computer, but I think its my school's settings for the internet. Is there anyway I can fix this?

I am seeing differences in behaviour between the "normal" install on my laptop and my PFF install on my USB drive.
Namely, my PFF is refusing to save passwords for sites.
I found an entry on mozilla support that stated there was a bug that was fixed in 2.0.0.3 (I think) so that led me to check versions.
On my laptop help about shows "version 2.0.0.6"
On my USB help about shows "version 2.0"
However on USB in Tools | Options | Advanced | Update History is states that 2.0.0.6 was successfully installed.

Any ideas?

How can I have multiple profiles with portable firefox?

Hi, I'd like to move my entire profile (not only the settings and bookmarks, but also, and expecially, the dozens of extensions I installed in PortableFirefox) on the Firefox installation that I have on Ubuntu (not portable, that is).
I tried to use the FEBE extension, but I wasn't able to select any profile to which restore the .fbu file, when it asks you for it.

how do i transfer all my data from my FF to the portableFF? bookmarks/ext/passwords/ect'...

I was wondering if anyone has a copy of portable firefox 1.5.

Hi, Ive tried out FF portable on a USB flash drive, and now would like to move it from my USB flash drive to my
computers HDD , is there an easy and simple way to do this , that would cause no moving problems..?
