Firefox Portable

Just wanted people to know, it looks like the foxmarks plugin works nicely with portable firefox. This is great news! Now I have virtually the same firefox browser wherever I go, with all of my bookmarks in place. With the Corsair GT flash drive portable apps work just as fast as they would off a hard drive. Don't even notice the difference.

I'd like to know which files I have to copy to localize my FFportable
Or which settings i have to set.

I am using adlock plus and ive got it working Ok
But I cannot seem to get it to block Adobe Flash Adds
Can any one please tell me how to do this …. ?

I use FirefoxPortable on my USB. Today it complained that it can't resolve a problem with security config files. The master password couldn't be changed, etc.
Guessing that some files on the USB are corrupted (probably unplugged the stick at the wrong time), I tried reinstalling/updating the program. The installer said that it can't overwrite firefox.exe (turned out it was read-only). On launch, FF still said it couldn't do anything about password saving part of itself.

Umm i dont know much, i have a password and such but I cant get Firefox to give me the option of logging in.

there was a number so i thought id jot it down: 10.220.5.5

Well I recently reformatted my USB drive from FAT32 to NTFS. Worked fine on my home PC, but work it starts but doesn't start extensions and I can't do much. When my USB was FAT32, it worked fine....

Should I reformated back to FAT32?

On my laptop, I have a proxy script which ensures that wherever I connect to a network, even inside a corporate firewall, then Firefox works completely automatically. I'm trying to do the same for firefox portable - the same as in "completely automatic", with zero clicks or key-presses - and the thing that's stopping me is the drive letter problem.

I know about the proxy-switcher plugin - this doesn't appear to give complete automation.
I also found info about putting the pac script in the firefox app folder and using resource:/// but to me this is an ugly solution.

Ever since I updated Firefox to 2.0.0.7, I occasionally get a problem where I either lose a tab when I hit the back button, or lose the entire program. I hit the back button, and it (either the tab or the entire program) just disappears.

When I check for running processes in the Task Manager, firefox isn't there. After I upgraded Firefox, I did implement a few suggestions regarding improving Firefox speed. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the problem.

Anyone else seeing this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Possibly the recent update of eQuake, and/or FlashGot, both of which I installed on Oct. 2, might be causing Firefox to fail to launch just within the past two days. In ProcessExplorer, the Firefox process is running, though; it just never launches the window. I've left it running for three hours with no launch, so by that time I'd say I can give up on it.
