Brutal Chess Portable 0.5.2 Pre-Release 1

This is just a quick n dirty one. Compressed with a stub launcher and the C runtimes moved around. But it's a cool chess program. In 3d. And it's portable. Just hit ESC to bring up the menu to adjust settings, difficulty or exit. It doesn't maintain settings (The app itself doesn't do this yet). And it'll be slow on older PC hardware since it is 3d. But any PC made in the last few years should have no issues with it.

Well, here's my first one...
Google Video Player is a program that allows you to play downloaded Google Videos.
It would be cool if some of you geniuses out there could lend a hand in beta testing it.

Here is the download (273.03 KB):

I've just posted a pre-release of OpenOffice.org Portable 2.2. As with the 2.1 pre-release, this version now includes a long-awaited feature: the ability to use Java from the portable device. This means you can use the OpenOffice.org functionality that depends on Java (Wizards, some Base functions, etc) even from a PC that doesn't have Java installed. (->read more in German)

Thunderbird 2 Release Candidate 1 Bugs

I just tried TB2 RC1 and didn't find any Topic to post my bugs so I start a new one.
I extracted the "new" copy to my desktop and copied my "old" Data folder over.

  1. I love the new look.
  2. Apart from several extensions not being compatible, everything worked.
  3. Only the new talkback extension and the birthday reminder extension worked.
  4. I think, the "use this TB as a default client for:" check at startup should be disabled/removed.
  5. Leaves these folders

A Note Portable

NEW VERSION AVAILIBLE!

What is A Note Portable?

A Note Portable is a portable version of the well, the not so popular A Note note taking program. But don't let that turn you away (It's just because no one's heard of it, and therefore aren't apparently trying my portable version Blum ), it's an excellent program that can serve many needs, such as:

  • Making quick notes without the hassle of opening a word processor, text editor, etc.

To do:
- include new splash screen (THX to JHdD)
- include ini support (I dropped it cause it didn't work)
- hope for new versions (they have nice stuff on their to-do-list) Wink
- change readme from John's Sudoku-readme to the actual Poker TH readme
- it doesn't use the saved settings
- Copies files without /SILENT switch

Cleanup Portable

Cleanup is an alterative to ccleaner, which is a free program that deletes temp files and other lag-creating things to "cleanup" the system.
this is a personal favourite of mine, so enjoy!
you dont need admin privelages for it, which theoretically
makes it better than ccleaner.

Calculator Portable

Calculator Portable

What is it?

Well, it's just a launcher for Microsoft's Calculator with a splash screen. Blum
The splash isn't that great right not, I will spend more time on it for the next release, when I cahnge the icon for the self extractor, but bascially, it's just a simple little launcher so you8 have quick and east access to the Calculator from your portable apps menu. I will be happy to give a shot at an actual calculator to make portable, is some people could give me links to some open-source calculators they have found. Thanks!
