The current releases of jPortable, jPortable 64-bit, Ghostscript Portable, and GPG Portable have been repackaged with the latest PortableApps.com Installer and posted for download. Existing users who had already updated to the current releases of those 3 plugins do not need to update and will not be prompted to update within the PortableApps.com Platform. The plugins themselves are not being updated. These releases are intended for new users, users updating from older versions today, and our third party partners that make our open source software available.

PortableApps.com is proud to announce that PortableApps.com Installer 3.3.1 has been released. The PortableApps.com Installer allows you to quickly package your portable apps in an easy-to-use installer without having to write or compile any code. This release updates the bundled NSIS and 7-Zip to the latest versions, adds machine translations for Malagasy, Pashto, and Uzbek, and adds a verification for manual selection of a CommonFiles plugin install location. The PortableApps.com Format Specification and installer are available for outside developers to use and can be used freely with free open source and freeware applications. Commercial use is available by contacting PortableApps.com.

Iron Portable 51.0.2700.0 has been released. SRWare Iron is 'The browser of the future' - based on the free Sourcecode "Chromium" - but without some features that privacy advocates object to. This release updates to the latest version and fixes an issue preventing manual language selection. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

Iron is packaged for portable use with permission from SRWare.
