A new version of Iron Portable has been released. SRWare Iron is 'The browser of the future' - based on the free Sourcecode "Chromium" - but without some features that privacy advocates object to. This release updates to the latest version and fixes an issue preventing manual language selection. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

Iron is packaged for portable use with permission from SRWare.

Cppcheck Portable 1.88 (C/C++ code analysis) Released

logoA new version of Cppcheck Portable has been released. Cppcheck is an analysis tool for C/C++ code. Unlike C/C++ compilers and many other analysis tools, we don't detect syntax errors. Cppcheck only detects the types of bugs that the compilers normally fail to detect. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

jPortable Launcher 5.0 (run Java JARs portably) Released

logojPortable Launcher 5.0 (formerly Java Portable Launcher) has been released. jPortable Launcher allows you to easily run Java JARs from your PortableApps.com-enabled device with one of our portable Java Runtime Environments installed. While it doesn't portablize their settings directly, it does work with any self-contained JAR that stores settings alongside itself or allows its settings to be saved to a portable location. This release adds support for the newly-released OpenJDK Portabkle and OpenJDK JRE Portable Java Runtime Environments along with their 64-bit variants alongside the existing support for jPortable and jdkPortable. It also adds experimental jnlp support. It's packaged as a portable app, so you can take your browsing experience with you and it's in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And it's open source and completely free.
