A serious file parsing problem in GNUCash results in loss of all my account information.

I installed GNUCashPortable and created an account set. I then saved the file. I was able to open that file a few more times but then, when I started up GNUCash, I got the error "problem parsing [filename]" and GNUCash would start without the file. I tried opening the .xac files in the same directory but was unsuccessful. All the information is gone!

this is played on a big screen though pc while on a couch
everything needs to be adjusted to see everything

Ultimately my goal is to be able to use WinMerge portable to compare two PDF files. I couldn't get it to work in either the desktop or portable version intially. (I would get a screen full of "gibberish".)

I was able to get it working in the desktop version by installing the xdocdiff plug-in.

What I was wondering was if there was a way to install this plug-in in the portable version?

I was wondering if anyone here knew about if BoncEnc can have like a marquee or changing message depending on which part of the compilation you are in.

Eraser Portable 5.8.7 fails to save settings for erasing preferences.

I have had a lot of trouble trying to change the settings for Erasing in Eraser Portable.

I want to use a lower setting to speed up erasing on unimportant documents.
I also want to reduce the total number of read write operations, to extend the life of my drive.

The default and most secure setting of 'Gutman's' with 35 passes is just too slow to complete and if intensively overused could lead to early drive failure.

I am sure it is a false positive, but just as an FYI; McAfee is reporting that a virus called "Artemis" http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_219587.htm is in Blender.
I scanned the file when I first installed it, and McAfee didn't find anything, but recently I was doing a routine scan of my flash drive as I was on a untrusted PC, and this came up for Blender.
It looks like the post 9/3/09 DAT files starting picking it up.

I have Notepad++ Portable and Firefox Portable; I'd really like to use Notepad++'s "Launch in Firefox" feature to launch Firefox Portable with the current Npp page. In other words, instead of having "Launch in Firefox" open the locally-installed version of FF, it should open the portable version of FF...
I know there's a way to do this (there's a shortcuts.xml file that I can edit), but hard-coding paths doesn't seem to be a good way to do things...

I need to change the configuration settings for Portable Java Runtime working as a plugin within Portable Firefox. Normally this would be done via the Java applet in the Windows Control Panel. Is there any way to do this with the Portable plugin? Specifically, I need to change one of the Advanced Security settings which is required to work with Oracle Forms 10g.

I have installed XAMPP on my hard drive and I configured it. It run!

I hava one problem. In PortableApp menu it is present many icon. I want xampp-control.exe only. I don't want xampp-portcheck.exe, xampp_start.exe, etc. Is it possible delete this icons to menu?
