Spybot 2.2 Executable Problem

I'm having trouble with the latest Spybot. I can't update via the platform and I can't install from a manual download. In each case it basically says that the installer executable is invalid (sounds like a corrupt file). I've tried from different locations, on different computers and no dice.

Anyone else having this issue?

Basic photo viewer/editor which supports extra (ex. Russian) characters?

Submitted by trust on October 23, 2013 - 11:41am

Not sure if I post it at the right place:

Neither XnView not IrfanView seems to support file name or folders containing some extra (but otherwise standard?) characters such as Russian. In the case of XnView I was told it is intentional, no plan for support. Strange. Basic Windows built in viewer displays these files like a charm.

any solution for this? I don't need much of an editor, mostly just a basic viewer. If no IrfanView or XnView then what else?

Possible uTorrent Virus

If you are uncertain about the quality of a torrent download and so download more than one service, two of the torrents might have the same download directory name, so they mix up saved data. That is probably enough to screw it up or maybe some of the same filenames also cover different data.

Anyway as long as uTorrent checks it to be ok, it will also screw up others download by torrent sharing

[Fixed] Raw Therapee leaves directory behind

Submitted by cbj0129 on October 16, 2013 - 7:21pm

Raw Therapee leaves a directory behind in 'Documents and Settings\activeuser\Local Settings\Application Data'. Not sure when the directory is created. I found it after creating a processing profile that didn't move to a different computer. I currently do not have a virgin computer to determine when the directory is created.
